Manually adding a page to e-edition only

Editors can create pages in BLOX that are related to the e-edition only, these can be added inline to the end of an existing section or as a separate section letter all together.

example below- Someone manually created an L001 page in the 3/6 edition.

You can see that it automatically shows up in page tracker for that days edition.

Verify the next available page in page tracker in the section that you would like to target and create the page using the BLOX InDesign menu in the same way that you would create any advance page in the system.

Chose the appropriate Pub code, date, section and page number.  (DO NOT USE Section X as that is used for shared pages from MNG)

Select the correct template and click OK to create the page.

Build the page as normal.  When the page is complete, you output to the Page Tracker Queue to Final.

Unlike outputting to final and sending to CTP, just using the PAGE TRACKER → FINAL option will not generate a send to the plate room but will export the page to the e-edition.

This process also applies to sending changes to the e-edition for existing pages after press time as well. In that case open the page make your changes and release page tracker to final to push the edits / updates to e-edition at anytime.

Page processing times will vary, it can take anywhere from 15 - 45 minutes before you will see the page appear in the edition live.

Remember you can force the cache to update to see the most current version of the pages by adding a question mark and some junk text to the end of any link (ex. https://www.thetimes-tribune.com/eedition/page-a1/page_56cc66c7-5fc9-509c-afe6-5b06f592fc30.html  to force a cache update you would do this https://www.thetimes-tribune.com/eedition/page-a1/page_56cc66c7-5fc9-509c-afe6-5b06f592fc30.html_**?ggadfh**_

and hit return, if the change doesn't appear you can refresh cache again, each time just change the junk text after the question mark and hit return.
