Employee Onboarding: Activating and Configuring Audix Voicemail

New Employee Initial Phone setup instructions:

Extension : xxxx (your extension is displayed in the screen on your desktop set) 
Temporary Password :  13579

The first time you use voicemail, you will be prompted to record your name.
Please follow the instructions below carefully. If the recording is not completed successfully, IT staff will need to reset your voicemail account.

Access Voicemail:

  1.  Lift the handset.
  2.  Press the Voicemail Key, or dial 9158. (If outside the building dial 570-348-9158)
  3.  At the prompt, enter your extension number and then #.
  4.  At the prompt, enter your default password and then #.

Record Your Name:

To record your name, press 1 and speak your name at the tone.  
Press 1 again when finished recording.  Press # to approve the recording.

Change your Password:

Before you customize your password, keep in mind that the password must be at least 4 digits and can be up to 15 digits.  Enter your new password followed by #.  Re-enter the password followed by #.

Create a Standard Greeting

From the Activity Menu, you have 3 options:
a)   Record Messages
b)  Get Messages
c)  Administer Personal Greetings

Press 3 to administer personal greetings.  
Then press 1 to create a greeting.          
You can create up to 9 different greetings.  
Enter a greeting number 1.       
Record your greeting and press # to approve the greeting.  
When finished, press 1 to accept this greeting for all calls.

To change information on already set up phones:

To Re-Record or Change Your Already Recorded Name:

1)   Lift the handset.

2)   Press the Voicemail Key or dial 9158

3)   At the prompt, enter your extension number and then #.

4)   At the prompt, enter your password and then #.

5)   Hit Option 5 (it will not be announced as an option, but you can select 5 on the dial pad).

6)   Hit Option 5 to create or change your name.

7)   Say your name and your extension #.  Hit # when finished.

8)   Your name has now been changed.

To Create or Change your Message:

1)   Lift the handset.

2)   Press the Voicemail Key or dial 9158

3)   At the prompt, enter your extension number and then #.

4)   At the prompt, enter your default password (Provided) and then #.

5)   Hit option 3 to Administer Personal Greetings.

6)   Hit Option 1 to change your greeting.

7)   Hit Option 1 to select your greeting number.

8)   Hit Option 1 to re-record your greeting.

9)   Hit # when your finished with your recording.  

10) If you want to listen to the message, hit option 1.  If you don't like your recording and want to re-record it again, hit Option 1.  Hit # when finished.  Repeat this process until you get the recording the way you want it.

11)  Your message has now been changed.

To Change your Password:

1)   Lift the handset.

2)   Press the Voicemail Key or dial 9158

3)   At the prompt, enter your extension number and then #.

4)   At the prompt, enter your password and then #.

5)   Hit Option 5 (it will not be announced as an option, but you can select 5 on the dial pad).

6)   Hit Option 4 to change password.

7)   Type in your new password.  It must be at least 6 numbers long.  Hit # when finished.

8)   Your password has now been changed.

Checking Voicemail from outside the building:

You can access the Voicemail system at anytime from outside the building by calling 570-348-9158
