How can I update a finished page in the e-edition after presstime?
Updating a page after print production is very easy. The e-edition can be updated and changed throughout the day, as needed, with very little effort by anyone with pagination access. This information is also relevant to resending a missing page to the e-edition in the case of an automation error. (*jump to step 4 if only resending for missing page)
- Open the page (or pages if jumps are involved) in InDesign
- Edit the page as if you were building it normally, save your changes and follow normal proofing protocols
- Release the page or pages to final under BLOX Total CMS-> Documents -> Output-> Page Tracker-> Final , this will update the status without needing to physically send the page to the pressroom.
- Close you pages and Switch your view to Page Tracker in TCMS
- locate the publication that you made updates to and open that publication.
- Locate the page that you updated - or that is missing from the e-edition and double click to open.
- Click the Send Segments button, and click OK on the resulting confirmation pop up.
- Click Cancel on the page window to close and move on.
The content changes made to the Web-published stories will update online live as you release the page
The page and the associated content will be updated on the e-edition in approximately 30 minutes
This process can be done at any point in the lifecycle of a story or an e-edition, hours days or weeks post publication if required.
